A leading Chartered Accountancy firm is currently looking to appoint an Insolvency Senior Associate to their thriving team. This is a unique opportunity for a personable and highly professional candidate to lead a small team of Assistant Cashiers within the firm’s rapidly expanding Shared Service Centre based in Liverpool city centre.

As Insolvency Senior Associate, you will take responsibility for overseeing the team’s progress in supporting client facing members of the firm within the practice’s Business Recovery stream.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced and innovative individual who will play a significant role in contributing to the development of the Shared Service centre.

The Insolvency Senior Associate will:

  • Be fully proficient in all duties and responsibilities expected of a cashier (processing and reconciliation duties)
  • Supervise, allocate work and review output(s) of cashiering staff in the team
  • Maintain and enhance all operational banking relationships. 
  • Keep service levels and product offering of the team under review
  • Ensure procedures and systems are updated regularly to reflect best practice
  • Undertake process improvement projects as may be required
  • Deliver training to new staff

     

Essential requirements are:

  • Strong background in mathematics and/or finance – at least to A Level / AAT standard
  • 3+ years practical experience in insolvency and/or treasury is essential
  • Knowledge of the Insolvency system IPS is advantageous
  • IT skills - strong working knowledge of MS Office and similar desktop applications. IPS software knowledge is advantageous. Willingness to learn new systems is essential
  • Well presented with a professional level of communication – both verbal and written
  • Good time management, organisation skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and complete tasks with limited supervision
  • Ability to work well in a team environment - mentoring/supervising experience is advantageous. 
  • Ability to use own initiative and take a flexible approach
