About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller who is passionate about being part of a charity that makes a difference to people’s lives. As a Credit Controller you will be responsible for processing high value sales receipts, involving detailed reconciliations to allocate on the finance system. Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines is essential, as is the ability to build strong relationships both internally and with external customers. Debt recovery will involve working with Local Authorities, for that reason this role will work closely with the Finance Business Partner and Billing Officer to create an effective income function, with swift query resolution.

  • Process receipts on a daily basis and input onto the finance system
  • Customer account reconciliation. Using various information sources to ensure correct allocation of payments to invoices in a timely manner
  • Reconciliation and recovery of historic transactions that remain unallocated on customer accounts
  • Build relationships with customer contacts. Due to the sector, this is likely to be a number of individuals including finance, administrators and social workers
  • Use the above contacts to ensure all debt is recovered/ reconciled on a timely basis
  • Work to achieve corporate targets relating to aged debt

  • This is a permanent, part-time position
  • The post is subject to a six month probationary period
  • Hours are 18.75 (18 hours 45 minutes) per week
