About the Role
An established leading Financial Services Company with vibrant offices in Liverpool City Centre are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join them on a Permanent basis. Specialist in their field the firm is recognised and one of the UK's fastest growing companies, with AAT study support available.
Reporting to the Assistant Financial Controller, the role will involve assisting in Management Accounts within the Accounts team.
Main Responsibilities
- Producing monthly trading company management accounts, including: Posting of purchase invoices
- Posting of sales ledger invoices and the updating of Sales Orders for details of seminars delivered
- Posting of bank transactions and assisting in reconciliation of bank accounts
- Posting provider fee receipts Posting of intercompany invoices / assisting in the preparation of intercompany recharge schedules
- Compiling supplier payment runs for processing
- Review and reconciliation of investment fees charged to clients
- Investigate variances or queries within the management accounts as requested by Financial Controller
- Loading of ad-hoc payments to bank accounts
- Review of staff expenses for accuracy of coding & VAT recovery Organise and file records, to allow easy review
- Support the Finance team in other ad-hoc duties as required
Essential Skills/Experience
- Interest in accounting principles and desire to work within the accountancy field, with some prior experience of the finance function
- High degree of attention to detail with the ability to self-review and error-check work to ensure accuracy
- Organised and adaptable with a strong work ethic
- Must be prepared to start studying for a formal accounting qualification, if not already doing so
- Competent and experienced in the use of MS Excel (including the use of lookups, pivot tables etc.)
- Studying AAT or looking to start AAT studies
