About the Role

Our client is a well established Public Sector organisation based in North Liverpool is recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their finance team on an initial contract basis. The successful candidate will have experience working within a varied Accounts role and be able to hit the ground running. Reporting into Senior Finance executives, this is an excellent opportunity to work in a hands on role and play a vital role in an exceptional organisation.

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for:

  • Processing purchase and sales ledger invoices
  • Processing payments and allocating incoming cash
  • Reconciling bank accounts on a daily and weekly basis
  • Cash, cheque and online banking
  • Petty Cash reconciliations
  • Assist with month end processes
  • Ad Hoc financial administration

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working within a similar Bookkeeping role
  • Be AAT/Part AAT qualified or studying (desirable)
  • Strong IT skills and knowledge of financial systems
  • Available at short notice
