Compliance Assistant - Fixed term contract

Marshall Moore are currently recruiting for a well-established Investment Management firm in Liverpool City Centre who are seeking a Compliance Assistant to join them on a contract basis. This role will be for around 8 months and is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who has prior experience within Financial Services ideally within on-boarding and exposure to AML. The successful candidate will be motivated, numerate and articulate with excellent organisational skills.

The role is to assist with on-boarding queries as well as periodic reviews of existing clients. The firm have an excellent reputation in Liverpool and if you have previous experience of Compliance then this is a great opportunity to further your career.

Key responsibilities for the Compliance Assistant - Fixed term contract

  • Work as part of the Account Opening team to review requests for new accounts in line with the firm’s policies and procedures and regulatory requirements to ensure that clients are on boarded in a timely manner
  • The assistant will be required to follow through any reasonable enquiries to ensure that we do not facilitate any activities relating to financial crime
  • This may include report writing and working with the wider AML/financial crime monitoring programme and would include the monitoring of existing accounts and the review of exception reports
  • Maintain a professional relationship with both the business and external parties
  • Carry out any investigation and liaise with the relevant parties to ensure remediation of any issues identified
  • Carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required

Essential Requirements are:

  • Exposure to AML (Anti-Money Laundering) is desirable
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Good technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of working within Financial Services
  • Ideally you will also have the relevant compliance qualifications
